Nesco Resource is searching for an experienced TOOL & DIE REPAIR TECHNICIAN to work with a great manufacturer in the Canton area. This is a 1st shift, Direct Placement opportunity.

This job description defines the framework within which the job holder carries out the assigned responsibilities. It defines obligations, duties, and responsibilities as well as the boundaries in which the job holder is authorized to act.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sets up lathes for turning both inside and outer dimensions.

Sets up for all milling and grinding operations.

Operates all tool room equipment required for tool building and repairs.

Resolve die associated problems.

Submits die improvement suggestions.

Maintains productions tooling and dies for optimum performance.

Holds die timing to set standards.

Reads and understands die drawings, blueprints and works with the Engineering and Quality Control Department.

Operates all machines in the Tool and Die work area.

Instructs and trains Tool and Die Apprentices.

Appropriately disposes of waste material in and around the work area.

Offers suggestions for improvements for safety, quality, productivity and efficiency.

Maintains the work area and all equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

Completion of a certified Tool and Die Apprentice program or eight (8) years of Tool Room experience

Ability to clearly communicate both written and oral.

Ability to effectively communicate tooling status.

Ability to work and interact as a team member.

Ability and willingness to learn new production techniques.

Physical requirements

Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Must be able to bend, kneel, twist, squat and walk around plant.

Must be able to operate computer and office equipment.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds
