In this pivotal role, you'll lead a dedicated team, oversee daily shipping operations, and make sure every order gets out the door on time and in top shape. Job title: Shipping Lean Location: Avon, OH Shift: 1 st Salary: $24-$35 an hour based on experience Responsibilities: Oversee packing, labeling, and documentation of shipments. Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to schedule pickups and deliveries. Ensure timely and accurate shipping of all orders. Lead, train, and manage shipping team members. Assign tasks and monitor performance to meet department goals. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate shipping records and logs. Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure stock accuracy. Resolve discrepancies related to shipping and inventory. Enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOT, OSHA). Conduct regular safety checks and training sessions. Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommend and implement improvements. Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs). Qualifications: 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations. Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred. Strong knowledge of shipping software and logistics systems. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery (certification may be required).
