Job Description:

*Position Title: *Account Development Specialist

*Position Reports to: *Sales Manager

*Position Summary: *West Side Transport is seeking a talented and competitive Account Development Specialist that thrives in a quick sales cycle environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with social mediums to identify prospects and create more shipper awareness and customer interest for Truckload Asset, Non-Asset and Dedicated Services. The primary objective is to qualify new prospects and account opportunities, secure bids and pricing invitations and closing new sales.
Essential Functions:

* Source new sales prospects and opportunities through lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
* Understand customer needs and requirements
* Route qualified opportunities to the sales and pricing for further development and closure
* Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas
* Research accounts, identify key decision makers and generate interest
* Maintain and expand our database of prospects
* Team up with coworkers and networking points of contacts to build pipeline and close deals
* Perform effective online demos, power points and rate and service proposals to prospects

*Necessary Qualifications:*

* Track record of over-achieving quota
* Proven inside sales or recruiting experience and basic knowledge of the truckload industry
* Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
* Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
* Experience working with Microsoft Word; Excel and Power Point
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong listening and presentation skills
* Ability to deliver prepared script(s) in voice mails and live telephone discussions
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
* BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred but not required
* Customer Service experience is a plus

*Physical Qualifications: *Ability to lift up to 20lbs as needed; talking on the phone, sitting, typing and long distance driving required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
