- Traveler must work 3 weekends (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week
schedule - Acknowledgment of high patient ratios - Required
certifications include TNCC, ACLS, BCLS, PALS, NIH Description: We
are seeking a Registered Nurse to work in our Emergency Room
department. This position requires familiarity with a Level 1
Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency
Department. The traveler should expect high patient ratios,
typically 1:5-6, which could increase depending on patient volume.
Experience in trauma care and advanced certifications is mandatory.
The ideal candidate will have experience in continuous IV sedation
and procedural sedation administration. Triage experience is
preferred but not strictly necessary. The unit provides
interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy,
Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams. Daily patient
census is around 250 with a variety of age groups treated, from
infants to geriatrics. The candidate must complete required modules
prior to starting on the floor. The role may involve floating to
the pediatric emergency department if necessary. Candidates should
possess robust clinical skills and adaptability to fast-paced
environments. Strong communication skills are essential for
effective patient care and teamwork. This position offers an
