Physician Assistant | Surgery - Vascular Location: Lansing, MI Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to support a Cardiovascular Surgery service line in Lansing, Michigan . This locum opportunity focuses on inpatient rounding and post-operative patient management , working closely with cardiac and vascular surgeons in a Level I Trauma Center . This is a rounding-focused role with no OR responsibilities . Assignment Details Position Type: Locum Tenens Profession: Physician Assistant (PA) Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Providers Needed: 1 Assignment Dates: February 2026 – May 2026 Schedule: 4-day, 10-hour workweek 1 in 4 weeks on call (first call from home) 1 weekend per month required Average Daily Census: ~15 patients (weekends may be higher) Trauma Designation: Level I Trauma Center EMR: Epic Pay: Inquire for details Clinical Responsibilities Inpatient rounding for cardiovascular surgery patients Support both cardiac and vascular surgery teams Manage ICU, step-down, and floor patients Coordinate discharges and daily care plans Collaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams Provide independent weekend coverage when scheduled Estimated Patient Distribution CVICU: 2–3 patients daily (may increase to 8) CV Step-Down Unit: 2–5 patients daily (includes discharges) Vascular Patients: 4–10 across ICU and floor units Weekend Census: 15–30 patients Coverage Reason Coverage needed due to recent APP resignation Travel & Locum Support Travel reimbursement provided per locum guidelines, including: Airfare Lodging Rental car Mileage at IRS standard rate Presentation Requirements Current, up-to-date CV (including locums history) Provider contact information Availability NPI and/or license number Malpractice and background documentation References, if available Scope of services, if applicable Requirements REQUIRED Qualifications Physician Assistant – Board Certified (REQUIRED) BLS and ACLS certifications (REQUIRED) Experienced PA only – new graduates not accepted (REQUIRED) Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (REQUIRED) Ability to take call and work scheduled weekends (REQUIRED) Preferred Qualifications Active Michigan license or NLC eligibility Clean malpractice and license history Benefits ??
