Job Description:
Job Title: Medical Technologist - Lab Technologist Location:
Detroit, MI 48202 Duration: 3 Months contract (Possible Extension)
Schedule Notes: Training will be Mon - Friday starting at 6.30 am
or 7 am for 6-8 weeks of the assignment and then we'll switch to
midnight Job Summary: Under general supervision, routine and
complex analytic procedures perform on blood and/or other body
fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of
laboratory instruments and information systems. Education: ·
Completion of accredited Bachelor’s Degree program in medical
technology, medical laboratory sciences, or clinical laboratory
sciences. · Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Microbiology, or
Biology may be considered if completed coursework aligns with the
duties of the specific Medical Technologist position. · Coursework
completed outside of the US must be verified by a NACES approved
credential evaluation service. Preferred Certification & Licensure:
· Certification at the technological level from a nationally
recognized agency, such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, Client, or HEW is
preferred.
