Job Description:
The Regional Director of Business Development (RDBD) is a member
of the regional management team, provide recruitment, orientation,
training and oversight in support of the marketing process within
each of the region's facilities. Contribute to establishing and
achieving the region and facility revenue goals through market

Responsibilities: Participate with facility, regional and corporate
staff in developing and periodically updating a Market Analysis for
each facility within the region. Lead the establishment of the
facility-specific annual and quarterly census targets, blending
region revenue targets and knowledge of the specific facility
market. Oversee each facility's translation of their Marketing
Analysis into effective monthly Marketing Action Plans (MAPs).
Assure that each facility's marketing resources are utilized to
maximize census and quality mix. Assure that each facility's
marketing team uses the tools available to analyze census trends
including discharges due to customer satisfaction, unnecessary
rehospitalization, lack of follow-up on rehospitalizations, changes
in diagnostic mix, decreased LOS, ineffective back-up teams, dips
from referral sources, drops in close ratio, and drops in
short-term to long-term conversions. Pursue regional managed care
agreements. Assist facilities in pursuing local managed care
agreements. Maintain regional agreements and assure that annual
re-certifications are completed timely. Provide orientation and
ongoing assistance to facility staff in Ciena's Pre-Admission (Dr.
Green) Process to include price-outs, red flag drugs, supplies,
equipment and services, Medicare Part A consolidated billing and
insurance verification & prior-authorization. Track facility sales
calls and adherence to the marketing plan via the CRM system and
monthly MAPs. Participate in the development of Ciena wide
advertising materials and assure that facility specific materials
meet Ciena standards. Assure that facilities maintain their web
sites and any social media pages such that the content is fresh and
accurate. Participate in the development of Management Meeting
Marketing Agenda, Management Meeting Presentations Self Learning
Modules, Sales Training Manual updates and Marketing Manual
updates. Lead the recruitment and selection of highly skilled
Director of Marketing candidates. Establish and maintain critical
relationships in each Ciena Health Care Company market.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree Minimum of three years of marketing
leadership experience in long-term care or a related field Strong
communication skills Strong computer skills Frequent travel (50%)
