Job Description:
Overview - This is a paid apprenticeship model which is a
16-week program that combines related online education through the
ASRT, and on the job learning at Corewell Health. - Completion of
this program satisfies the ARRT 16-credit Structured Education
Requirements for CT. - After successful completion of all 12
modules of the program, participants will receive 16 CE credits and
a document from the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic
Technologists) recognizing their achievement. - Program includes
requirement for a 1-year commitment as a CT Tech (at a .5 FTE
status or higher) with Corewell Health that will begin upon
entering a CT Technologist position. Qualifications Required
Associate's Degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education
in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry
of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required OR CRT-Nuclear
Medicine Technologist – NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology
Certification Board OR CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) – ARRT American
Registry of Radiologic Technologist CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) -
AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life
Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required Scope of
work Under general supervision and according to established
policies and procedures performs diagnostic CT exams utilizing
appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists must demonstrate good
clinical skills and provide the best possible images for
interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation
protection. About Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital Corewell Health
Dearborn Hospital has proudly served residents across Southeast
Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn
Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five
residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with
Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn
Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by
the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center. The hospital is
also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of
orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart and vascular and
cancer care. *After apprenticeship completion, this position will
be full-time day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts 7:30 a.m.-
