Job Description Job Description Job Summary : The
responsibilities of an Automotive Service Technician include
diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing customer vehicles. They must
have at least four State of Michigan "Motor Vehicle Mechanic
Certificates" or ASE equivalent. Great communication skills. About
the Company Joe Lunghamer Chevrolet Inc is a trusted automotive
dealership located in the greater Pontiac, Waterford Twp area. We
are a family owned and ran dealership. We pride ourselves on
providing top-notch customer service, high-quality vehicles and
state licensed, General Motors approved automotive repairs. We are
scheduled to break ground on a brand new state of the art facility
in the Summer of 2026! We will have the most extravagant Chevrolet
dealership in the entire Midwest when we open the doors in 2027
just off of North Telegraph Road! This automotive shop will be
equipped with air conditioning, state of the art special tool room,
alignment rack software and much much more! The time is now to get
onboard with our team before the new facility is up and serving the
community. Service Technician Responsibilities Perform work
specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance
with dealership. Test drive vehicles, and test components and
systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can
be informed if any additional service is needed. Provide estimates
of time needed for additional repairs. Execute repairs under
warranty to manufacturer specifications. Service Technician
Requirements Arrive on time. Show up every day. Wear a smile. Be
willing to learn something new every day! Understand that
communication is everything . It is remarkable how often the real
problem is not what happened, but how it was communicated.
Self-motivated. Have a sense of duty as if your name was on the
side of the building. Duty is a core principle in our Service
Department . High school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of
experience as an Automotive Technician. At least 4 State of
Michigan "Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certificates". ASE Certificates a
plus. Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
Basic computer and DMS skills. Willingness to learn new and
navigate new technology. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic
equipment. Clean driving record & valid driver's license. Benefits
Competitive compensation: $35.00 to $50.00 an hour ($80,000 to
