Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting plant operations. The ideal candidate will have problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Sterling Heights, MI Pay Range: $28.00 Shift: 1 st shift - 5:00am to 3:30pm 2 nd shift - 4:00pm to 2:30am What's the Job? Diagnose, repair, and overhaul machines and hydraulic equipment using blueprints, drawings, or sketches. Perform layout work and utilize various tools and precision measuring instruments. Maintain and repair CNC machines, presses, conveyors, and related equipment across the plant. Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure optimal machine performance. Assist in installing new equipment, rebuilding, and refurbishing existing machinery as needed. What's Needed? High School Diploma or G.E.D., with a preference for Journeyman certification. Minimum of five years of experience in machine maintenance and electrical repair, especially with heavy machinery and presses. Knowledge of CNC systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems. Experience with MIG and Arc welding, cutting torches, and reading hydraulic and lube schematics. Ability to operate maintenance machinery such as Bridgeport, surface grinder, lathe, and drill press, along with precision measuring tools. What's in it for me?
