Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A full-time Certified Elementary Cognitively Impaired
(CI) Teacher position is available to support K-2 students in a
public school setting in Redford, MI. This onsite role focuses on
delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with
cognitive impairments, fostering their academic and social
development. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct instruction and
support to students with cognitive impairments in grades K through
2. - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
tailored to meet each student's unique needs. - Collaborate with
general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a
comprehensive approach to student development. - Monitor student
progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed. - Maintain a
positive and structured classroom environment conducive to
learning. Required Qualifications: - Valid Special Education
License with a CI or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement. -
Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or a
commitment to obtain and maintain this certification annually. -
Experience working within special education settings, particularly
with young children who have cognitive impairments. - Strong
communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a
multidisciplinary team. Position Details: - Location: Redford, MI -
School Level: K-2 (Elementary) - Employment Term: Contract through
June 11, 2026 - Work Schedule: Full-Time, weekdays onsite only This
