Job Description:

First National Bank of America’s Loan Servicing Team is looking for a professional, genial, and highly organized Insurance Specialist to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of insurance escrow funds and compliance with all regulatory guidelines. This role will work with borrowers and insurers via phone and email to accurately handle our borrower’s insurance needs, providing exceptional service to all. The Insurance Specialist will verify and perform escrow setup and maintenance, escrow tracking and verification, disbursement, and escrow analysis reporting. The successful candidate will have an eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, a capability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and strong written and oral communication skills. The candidate must also enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive in-person work environment, while maintaining compliance. Responsibilities: Monitor accounts to ensure insurance requirements are met, including placement and removal of force placed insurance in accordance to regulations when necessary Certify accurate data entry of insurance policies and changes Clear, concise and timely communication and follow up with borrowers, fellow employees, and insurance providers to answer insurance and escrow related questions Answer incoming phone calls to the insurance department phone line from borrowers, agents, and fellow employees. Review, evaluate and process requests to eliminate escrow accounts including knowledge of guidelines on requirements Process and monitor insurance claims, handling document procurement and payouts Qualifications: Excellent communication skills (telephone, e-mail, and in-person) and follow-through Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Insurance or mortgage experience beneficial, but not required Bilingual communication, in Spanish or Portuguese, desired, but not required Employee benefits Medical – Multiple plans to choose from including HSA and traditional.
